Guidelines

To ensure consistency and clarity in the symposium proceedings, authors are requested to prepare their abstracts according to the following guidelines:

1. Abstract Content
• Clearly state the background/rationale, objectives, methods, key results, and conclusions/implications.
• Emphasize the novelty, significance, or practical contribution of the work.
• Avoid undefined abbreviations, jargon, or overly technical language where possible.

2. Abstract Format
• Language: English only.
• Word limit: 250 words (excluding title and author information).
• Title: Concise, informative, and written in sentence case (not all capitals).
• Authors: List full names, institutional affiliations, underline the name of the presenter, and email of the corresponding author.
• Structure: Abstracts may be structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) or unstructured, but must include all essential elements.
• Keywords: 3–5 keywords (not repeating words in the title).

3. Submission
• Submit through the symposium’s online abstract submission system.
• Indicate the preferred presentation type: Oral or Poster
• Select one of the following four themes.
Theme 1. Biodiversity in a Changing World
Theme 2. Wildlife Health and One Health Perspectives
Theme 3. Human-Wildlife Interactions and Conflict Mitigation
Theme 4. Integrative Approaches for Sustainable Futures

4. Review Process
• All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee. If revisions are needed, whether for scientific content or grammar, they will be sent back to the corresponding author for adjustments.
• Selection will be based on scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the symposium theme.
• The committee reserves the right to assign presentation format (oral/poster).

5. Publication
• Accepted abstracts will be published in the Symposium Abstract Book (digital only).
• By submitting an abstract, authors agree to its publication.

6. Important Notes
• Abstracts must represent original work.
• Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will result in rejection.
• Do not include tables, figures, or references in the abstract.
• Ensure proper English grammar and spelling before submission.

Abstract (max. 250 words):
– State the background/rationale of the study.
– Clearly indicate the objective(s).
– Describe the methods/approach briefly.
– Present the key results (concise and specific; avoid vague statements such as “data will be presented”).
– End with a conclusion/implication, highlighting the importance and relevance of your work.

Keywords: Provide 3–5 keywords (separated by commas; do not repeat words already in the title).

Theme chosen for the presentation:
Theme 1. Biodiversity in a Changing World
Theme 2. Wildlife Health and One Health Perspectives
Theme 3. Human-Wildlife Interactions and Conflict Mitigation
Theme 4. Integrative Approaches for Sustainable Futures

Notes:
– Use a single paragraph (no subheadings).
– Do not include tables, figures, or references.
– Write in clear English with correct grammar and spelling.
– Maximum: one page (A4), using Times New Roman, 12-point font, single spacing, and 2.5 cm margins.
– Indicate the preferred presentation type: Oral or Poster
– Do not forget to select one of the four themes for your presentation.
